Understanding Ceramic Burners
- Infrared heat radiation was discovered around 1800.
- Our CraftMaster Series of commercial roasters all use this refined technology.
- Now what exactly does that mean? Well its actually a lot simpler than you may think!
Our Infrared system runs with gas, much the same as every other roaster. The difference is that we contain the fire into a long rectangular shaped container, which covers the underside of the drum. The highest point of this burner element is shut with clay tile. After ignition, the tile is superheated by the gas fire and gets extremely hot. the warmth emanates off the tiles and transmits in the infrared range. There is no blue and yellow flame here. Infrared light waves encompass the drum and warmth exchangers. Then they hit the metal and radiate out to each coffee bean, evenly roasted to create the perfect cup of coffee.
What makes our burners stand out in comparison with all the blue fire roasters is that when you look inside our roaster you see the unadulterated wide square shapes of juicy orange/red tiles broadening the whole length of the drum.
Reliable, perfect, trustworthy warmth straightforwardly radiating to each bean.
Our burners produce an even band of warmth that guarantees that there are no “problem areas” or cool temperature groups that can spoil your roast.
Your roasts become fast, trustworthy, repeatable, and great.
It is the best heating method out there … period.
